End of Sale

PhenixID considers a product to be End of Sale when either it can no longer be ordered from PhenixID, or it is marketed as being End of Sale on the PhenixID web site.
When possible PhenixID will either offer a more current revision of the same product or provide recommendations on a migration strategy.

PhenixID communicates product End of Sale through PhenixID support webpage. PhenixID strives to notify customers 12 months in advance.


Software Products / Releases

PhenixID periodically discontinues specific products or version of products.
Release version guidelines

Major Release:
Major releases encompass new products, major architecture changes, new functionality, and substantial innovation.

Minor Release:
Minor releases include updates or enhancements/features to existing products, moderate administration or UI changes, and major bug fixes.

Patch Release:
Update releases incorporate minor bug fixes, security fixes, and service packs.

Numbering scheme is defined as follows.
Example 2.5.1 where Major release is 2, Minor release is 5, Patch is 1.


End of Support

End of Support is defined when support and updates are no longer available for a product.
Once a product has reached its End of Support date, PhenixID does not offer new license or support contracts for that product.

PhenixID will adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. The End of Support Period for a Major or Minor Software release, “N,” starts when the N+2 release becomes Generally Available.
  2. The maximum total support life of a Software release is the lesser of: (a) three (3) years from the date it first became Generally Available or (b) one (1) year after the N+2 version becomes Generally Available.

PhenixID considers a product to be End of Support when the published End of Support date is reached.

In rare instances, and at our sole discretion, PhenixID may offer extended support, beyond the typical support lifecycle. Custom Software Support may be available at an additional cost to customer but only if you have a current support subscription in effect on the End of Life Date.
